Over 30 Charlotte clergy and people of faith made the same journey that local immigrants of their community made when they were detained and sent to Stewart Detention Center. That same community came together at the gates of Stewart where they stood in accompaniment and left behind their prayers.

This video reached 7,000 people and nearly 3,000 people watched this live stream.

She was inspired by her parents, grandmother, and clergy, who dedicated themselves to community service and advocating for the Latino advocacy. She is a Westerner at heart, could spend hours in a bookstore, library or museum and feels blessed to eat delicious Latino foods all across the country.

Jennifer Butler. But thanks to an alliance with Muslim women, she was inspired to reclaim her voice and her faith to be a force for justice.
